Work from home effectively

Shifting from a work environment at the office to your home can be challenging at first, but at times like these, it has become a necessity so we must adapt to still be able to have a productive workday. For me, since this is my first working experience it’s been weird because I have never really worked at an office.

In my case, what has helped me the most with trying to be productive and efficient is keeping a clean, organized and comforting space that allows me to feel relaxed and as free as possible from distractions, sort of creating my own at-home office to resemble what the working space at Pernix would feel like.

Another thing that also helped me was showering before work and dressing up because it makes me feel good about myself and helps me set the mood and relief some stress before starting. It is also very important to have a good night’s sleep and nutritious breakfast to feel energized.

The only drawback that I have felt from this is that at times it feels like it would be easier to just be able to stand up and go up to someone and ask for help rather than having to send a message and wait for a while until they respond, especially for someone like me that’s just starting.

Apart from that, it has been a nice experience and it goes to show that it isn’t as necessary to be fiscally at the office but it sure does have its benefits to be there. For now, I’m trying to do my best until it’s time to finally go to the office and see how things feel and go from there.
